Surround sound problem

Postby Liltowl » Fri May 11, 2018 11:49 am

I have the problem that when I use version 3.0.0 of PT, and try to watch anything on my tv using Chromecast, the sound works in my phone but when I cast the movie to the TV, it says "surroundsystem is activated, please use the tv to control the sound". So it is mute. It happens no matter which movie or show I cast. Does anybody know how I can fix this? I have a Samsung 7 Android.

Further information:
It's always happening, both with TV shows and Movies. I never had any sound through chromecast on TV.
A message on screen is mentioning that surround sound is on and tells to to use the TV's remote control to adjust the volume. This does not work.
The sound does work on the phone itself though.

In the web there are a lot of information like: "unable to get 5.1 audio from Chromecast", including connection type, generation version, source of video, TV models and other details. To sum up - Chromecast outputs 2.1 sound only.
