Popcorn time problem. (With screenshot)

Hi there,

Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Everytime I want to run popcorn time, it stays on a white screen.

I have tried a couple of things to make it work. Example; run as administrator, reinstalling, downloaded the latest version of popcorn time. Nothing seems to help.

White screen is a first... We know about a black screen bug, but not about white screen...

Can you please answer the following details about what you're using:

*OS (Windows or Mac) / Or a mobile device?
* What is your OS version?
* What version of Popcorn Time do you have installed?
* Is your internet connection stable?
* Did you try to run Popcorn Time as an Administrator?
* Does this occur for all the series/movies you watch? Did you try different torrents for that movie/episode?
* Did you try this on another device?
* Did you try this on another internet connection?
* Did you try it on wifi and cable?

Hi,

I have the same issue as starsky, 'the black screen bug'.

I already entered a comment at the Known issues thread, but this thread is specific to the black screen bug so I'll tell my story here again.

What I've noticed is that the application still is responsive but it doesn't render the graphics for some reason.
For example: when I click the right upper corner i can still close the application, other stuff also seems responsive as the cursor changes on certain spots of the application (where buttons are placed). I hope this helps in some way.

I have a HP ProBook 4740s which has a AMD Radeon HD 7650M graphics card. Although the graphics card doesn't seem to be the issue, a friend of mine has the same issue with another graphics card.

*OS (Windows or Mac) / Or a mobile device?
* What is your OS version?

PC: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
* What version of Popcorn Time do you have installed?

4.3 Beta.
* Is your internet connection stable?

Yes very, I have a direct connection.
* Did you try to run Popcorn Time as an Administrator?

Yes, 'the black screen bug' still occurs.
* Does this occur for all the series/movies you watch? Did you try different torrents for that movie/episode?

This is ain't a relevant question as the problem occurs when the program starts and it doesn't get past that point.
* Did you try this on another device?

Yes, an older device (which I don't know the specs of) has the same issue. It also runs Windows 7 Professional.
* Did you try this on another internet connection?

Yes, 'the black screen bug' still occurs.
* Did you try it on wifi and cable?

Both, 'the black screen bug' still occurs.

I already updated both 32-bit and 64-bit jre.

I'm a programmer myself, is there a way in which i can access the source code? Github seems to have been put down.

Hi there time4popcorn,

I'm sorry for my late reaction.

The answers to your questions:

*OS (Windows or Mac) / Or a mobile device?

- Windows
* What is your OS version?

Windows 7
* What version of Popcorn Time do you have installed?

- The latest one, 4.3.
* Is your internet connection stable?

It's stable all the time.
* Did you try to run Popcorn Time as an Administrator?

Yes, and it didn't work, still goes to a white screen.
* Does this occur for all the series/movies you watch? Did you try different torrents for that movie/episode?

Normally I usually use Torrent to download my movies and watching them.
* Did you try this on another device?

Nope, I haven't because I have no other device further.
* Did you try this on another internet connection?

No, only on cable and wifi.
* Did you try it on wifi and cable?

Yes on both, but still didn't work.
